Karama Takaya, part of Karama’s relief program, provides daily lunches for displaced Darfuri families at Al-Effad camp in Al-Dabbah (Northern State), after the number of meals rose from 250 a day on day three to 500 a day by day fourteen of continuous operation.
From 250 to 500 meals a day
The program began by serving 250 lunches a day (rice and chicken) on its third and fourth days, then gradually expanded to 500 meals a day by the fourteenth day of continuous operation.
Service expanded to include drinking water
Alongside meals, the Takaya expanded its services to include drinking water for the residents of Al-Effad camp among the displaced from Darfur, continuing its daily commitment to the displaced community.
This work falls under Karama’s relief track, one of its two main tracks of work alongside its health track.
